Colorful Bookcase: Books About Pink to Peruse, is part of my Colorful Bookcase series where I will highlight books I found on Amazon about a specific color. From learning more about the color pink to decorating with pink to fashionable coffee table books with pink covers. I’ve found what you will be intrigued by.
Pink reminds me of my love for dance. My youth. The innocence of being young. Tutus. Strawberry frosting on a vanilla cake (my favorite). And lipstick. I love lipstick. It also reminds me that I should take pride in my feminine traits, in being a woman. There is nothing remotely wrong with enjoying femininity. Curves. Hips. Lips. Empathy. Vulnerability. Sensuality. Patience. Intuition.
If you read my recent posts: “Top 15 Pink Paint Colors and Palettes for 2020” or “15 Home Decor Items Men Will Love Too”, you discovered a little about the pink trend for this year and how it is still a very strong trend.
Also, pink has served as an inspirational color in my life. In my early 20s-30s, I was a founding member of an all women’s post-collegiate cross country running team that wanted to stand out from other teams. I know it sounds strange, but we did something shockingly different for the time by selecting pink as our uniform color. That color made us fierce and continues to make the team fierce today, 18 years strong!
